About Spring Guliang
My name is Spring Guliang. The first half of my life was as turbulent as that of Sousuke Sagara, and I find it very difficult to adapt to the calm after the storm. Currently, I am a novice apprentice on the path of becoming a writing illusionist.
- I listen to light electronic music while working and I really like House music.
- Favorite writers: Eileen Chang, Jane Austen, the Brontë sisters and Diana Wynne Jones.
- Favorite food (does anyone want to know this?): Bitter melon, Kyushu mentaiko, yuzu pepper, koji, and rice koji.
- I mainly write novels, but also write miscellaneous notes about work or life. Sometimes I write essays or poetry analysis in English, and I also take on translation projects. Recently, I have started to practice writing scripts.
- I have been writing for nearly twenty years, but have only achieved some success in recent years. I have never thought that I have a talent for writing. When I was in junior high school, I was considered unsuitable to join the speech club that required both speaking and writing. I never won any awards for my submissions in high school. I went through the Freshnet and Adventurer's Paradise periods in college, and the responses to the works I published at that time were mediocre.
- The achievements in recent years that can be mentioned are:
- I once submitted a work to a poetry magazine and successfully signed a contract with Mirror Literature.
- I completed my first novel "Breakup Kitchen" and
- My science fiction novel "Death Guide (tentative title)" is received a youth subsidy from the Ministry of Culture.
